Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your SurveyThanks account and the data associated with it. SurveyThanks is published by Swap Link Pty Ltd (ABN 94 691 733 794).

Delete from inside the app

Open SurveyThanks and sign in.
Go to Settings.
Scroll to the bottom, to Delete account.
Type your account email address to confirm, then confirm the deletion.

Deletion takes effect immediately. You are signed out on every device and can no longer sign in.

If you can't sign in

Email [email protected] from the address you used with SurveyThanks, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify the request and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your sign-in credentials — magic-link sessions, passkeys, and any connected Microsoft or Apple account
Your trusted devices and offline unlock PIN
Your membership of every workspace, partner organisation, and shared form
Your personal details on the account record: email address, name, profile image, email signature, timezone, and saved app preferences

What is kept, and why

SurveyThanks is a workplace tool. The inspection records you create — jobs, form submissions, photos, audio notes, reports, and messages — are your employer's business records, held in their workspace. Deleting your account does not delete their records; work you authored remains, attributed to “Deleted account” rather than to you.

To have workspace records themselves removed, ask your workspace administrator, or email [email protected] and we will refer the request to the workspace that controls the data.

Retention

Backups: deleted data ages out of our rolling 30-day point-in-time backups within 30 days.
Workspace data: retained for the life of the workspace's subscription; on workspace closure, deleted within 90 days unless we are required to retain it.
Audit logs: retained for at least 2 years for security and dispute resolution.
Billing records: retained for at least 7 years, as required by Australian tax and corporations law.
